Why is vitamin K2 listed in two forms?
The panel declares 120 mcg of vitamin K2 as 50% MK-7 and 50% MK-4. These are two menaquinone forms that differ in how long they remain in circulation, and supplying both rather than one is a formulation choice. The label states the split explicitly.
What does TRAACS mean on the minerals?
TRAACS is a branded chelate technology from Albion. A chelated mineral is bound to an amino acid — glycine, in the case of a bisglycinate — rather than supplied as a simple mineral salt such as an oxide. In this formula calcium, magnesium, and copper are bisglycinate chelates and chromium is an amino acid chelate.
Where does the iodine come from?
Two sources. The panel states 80% comes from Thorvin Kelp, which is Ascophyllum nodosum, and 20% from potassium iodide, for a total of 130 mcg per serving. Many multivitamins use an inorganic salt alone.
Does this formula contain iron?
