Why does riboflavin turn urine bright yellow?
Riboflavin is a water-soluble vitamin with a naturally yellow-green colour, and whatever the body does not use is excreted in urine. At 100 mg per capsule the colour change is pronounced and entirely expected. It is not a sign of a problem, and it happens with any high-dose riboflavin product.
Why is calcium listed twice on the label?
They are the same ingredient counted two ways. The 100 mg figure is the full weight of calcium succinate monohydrate, the compound itself. What does “standardized to 25% hydroxytyrosol” mean?
Hydroxytyrosol is the polyphenol that olive leaf extracts are typically characterized by. Standardization means each batch is produced to contain a specified percentage of that compound, so 100 mg of an extract standardized to 25% hydroxytyrosol supplies 25 mg of it.
